The... um... beginning?

Um… Testing, 1, 2, 3, testing… Okay so this is the official kickoff of my high school blogging project where I will share all of the occasionally awesome but mostly horrific and boring things I am doing and experiencing here in a not-so-interesting high school (filled with people just about anywhere between Paris Hilton wannabes to pretend-spell-casting-freaks) currently located in the capital of the sunshine state. But, let me tell you something that may come as a huge-ungus shock and/or disappointment to those of you who haven’t been here. Not ALL of Florida is dotted with palm trees, amusement parks and fat people eating funnel cakes. In fact, Tallahassee is the COMPLETE opposite.

It’s not really all that fun at all. (Unless you consider going to the movies or SkateWorld every weekend of your pathetic life fun—If that’s the case, this place is definitely for you.)

You see, obviously it wasn’t MY choice to live here… Mainly because I’m only fifteen and I don’t get a say in where the rents’ jobs move them. (Although that would be totally awesome… I could be living in like… Australia right now!)

My parents have been divorced since I was in the 5th grade. I live with my mother (manager of CircleK) and my stepdad (employed at Kevin’s). As for my father? He is my hero. He is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army and has been residing in Baghdad, Iraq since November of 2007. I am very happy to say that he is coming back around mid-februaryish. He is both my best friend and a well-respected authority figure. He has more of an affect on me than he will ever know.

I also happen to have a best friend (closer to my generation). Actually I have several. (People just love me I guess…) But we’ll get into them another time. I don’t want to entertain you with TOO much of my overly-exciting life (of which I know you are so jealous of) all at once. It’s best just to keep you wondering. :)

Until next time!

-Karen

PS: sorry about the plain designs and boring color scheme… I’ll try to edit this as soon as I can.
